alrighty -
so, these are the signs for the table numbers during the reception.
this also acts as our guestbook where friends and family can sign in and drop a friendly note.
these are 8"x10" black picture frames (dollar store) without the glass.
on a pre-cut flat white cardstock, i pasted orange construction paper that acted as a border for the table number sign.
on the table sign, (cant really read it out in the pic) it says:
"Greetings Table #2,
Sign your name, write a note,
short poem, your favorite quote,
draw a picture, send your wishes,
words of wisdom, lipstick kisses,
tell a joke, or share advice,
something sweet for victoria and mike."
i came up with the complete poem myself, but i did lots of googling to find the right words.
once i got all the words i liked, i kinda just smashed it together and came up with this.
okay, moving on..
behind that white cardstock , i used 60pt chipboard (really really thick cardstock) for support for the guest writing on the frame.
then i tied some elastic cord on the back leg stand to hold a pen. guests use the pen to sign the exposed white card on the frame.
during the reception the bride and groom visit each table and take a photo.
then after the wedding is over, all the thank you cards are sent, and we're all caught up with the times, these table number signs come out of the black frames, and then the photo of that table gets pasted over the table sign, then it goes in the scrapbook :)
it was fun to read everyones special notes for us :)
we enjoyed all the artwork, and totally appreciated all the lipstick kisses :)
funny jokes, heartwarming memories, advice about making babies, and well wishes :)
