Makin' It Rain (Bridal Shower) Mardi Gras Style!

Thought of the Mardi Gras theme from my BFF, Jenea. She knows her Mardi Gras history, culture and city.
Being that its Halloween weekend, we thought the masks would be great for the season :)

Check out one of Jenea's crazy/cool mask! Straight from New Aw'lins:

The Woman of the Hour:

Lovely ladies:

L to R: Victoria's Mom, Mike's Grandma Mama, Victoria, Grandma (Mike's Grandma) and Mike's Mom.

Reading some stuff out loud..."The Worst Chores", and the more emotional/funny/inspiring - "Advice for the New Bride"

One was especially touching :P ::tear:

One of my all time faves was advice from Priscilla which was - "HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE. -Take note Michael." LOL! This should be taped onto MIke's PS3! LOL!

Speaking of Priscilla ~ she totally won the clothes pin game! (cant cross your legs, say "Bride" or "Victoria") She definitely had her radar on, every 2 minutes i saw her running up and scoring more clothespins!

Great Job, Cill!

My Softball wifees came through!

A few of the Toilet Paper Brides:

Yazzy was the winner! (middle, in purple) Her dress was a mini-dress, stayed in tact when she'd walk, equipped with a bouquet!

Thanks Mom, for a wonderful bridal shower for your baby girl :)

Also a special thanks to Arlene & Jenea! Love ya all!

Check Engine Light ~ Be gone!

Goal #1 for the busy weekend...

Remove the Check Engine Light from the Taurus!
(aka Miss Goldie McHamilton...lol)

Dropped off car at the shop for a new cat.

How to bustle a wedding dress

20111106-104600.jpg

My mom and I were thinking about how to bustle my dress... A HUGE thanks to youtube for its great instructionals!

The inner bustle is called a "French Bustle", this type wouldn't be good on a dress with a detailed bottom, ya gotta show them details off! But whats good about the french bustle is that the hooks/ribbons are hidden.

The outside bustle works great with detailed dresses, and even better when u can hide ur hook in the lil details.
